Membership…
The Club is an inclusive club and we cater for year 5 age 11 to age 20 where older athletes become coaches and gradually move to the Harrogate Harriers Senior club.
You can see the rules we stand by on our website. The main proviso for anyone joining is that the parent or parents must offer to help in some way, this can be agreed at the time of joining can be on a rota basis… whatever suits but please be willing as all our coaches and helpers are not paid.
Membership also depends on there being a place at the club, if there are no places at this present time then you will be contacted when there are places. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis and the age of the child is considered in this as there are only so many places for each age group. The more regular helpers and coaches the more children we can coach.
How to become a Member
♦ If you decide to join a membership form must be filled in for each Athlete.
♦ Membership is £10.00 with a fee each term that works out to be £1.50 per session to be paid at the start of term.
The membership covers enrolment to English Athletics that includes their insurance and cost of administration, and the hire of the High School field and Gym in winter.

Training – 06.50 to 08.30 on Thursdays at Harrogate High School in the school playing field summer time.
Contact us first so we know you are coming and when you arrive introduce yourself to one of the coaches or helpers.
Parents – Any parent wishing to help with the coaching there are English Athletic courses that can be attended that apart from being instructive are a also a fun day out. We may be able to help with the cost and traveling to the course. Where help is required then the Club would expect a commitment to a minimum of 20 coaching sessions.
Competitions - We are a competing Club and members are expected to compete in at least 3 of the 5 Young Athlete League (YAL) meetings during the summer and if a distance runner at least three cross countries in the West Yorkshire cross country league if they are chosen to support the club in this way.
